Love recoveringlazyholic’s “Reminders” project (found via Design Crush). It’s a significantly more stylish version of the “put a photo of your skinny self on the fridge” weight loss trick. I could defintiely use some “colorful reminders spattered all about my house [that] might make me more prone to living my life a little better.” But now I want to know—are they working?

These delicious photos of Stephanie Levy’s studio on Modish make me want to go buy watercolors right this second and paint all day. I find creative workspaces fascinating (maybe because mine consists of literally a single windowsill) so I love their Handmade Spaces series.
In other news: I’m sorry I’ve been neglecting you a bit lately. I’ve been working my little fingers off for the shop, because the fabulous Design Mom gave me a shout-out, and it’s been bananas ever since. I’m SO not complaining, but I am seriously considering pre-cut and scored stock!

In honor of Earth Day, I’m posting a fabulous (green!) discovery that we made last night: After nearly a year of coddling, our little windowsill jalepeno-plant-that-could has finally sprouted an actual jalepeno! I have to admit, I never expected it to actually bear fruit. So I’ve decided that Mr. Jalep is a friendly reminder for me to be patient with myself and my just weeks-old business. Now off to dilligently feed and water TweeCards…

It seems like I’ve seen a ton of paper artists out there lately, but Su Blackwell must surely win the wow-factor prize. My friend Amanda sent me this link and I simply must share, because Su’s creations are brilliant. She uses books as a launching point for paper sculptures, with subjects like Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and The Secret Garden. (And then there’s also just general loveliness.) Wow. Go look at the rest of her portfolio!
PS: I don’t know about you, but for me Wednesday is such a bummer of a day–there’s still so much to do in the week, but you’re already worn out from Monday and Tuesday. I think we all need a little sunshine on hump day, so I’m starting a new Wednesday Inspiration column to share anything and everything that inspires me to keep creating. See you here next week for more inspiring finds!
